We’re looking for passionate, proactive, and personable individuals to join our sales and delivery team and embark on their career in recruitment. As a life science staffing firm, we’re providing companies with the talent that can transform lives and enabling candidates to embark on careers that make a real impact to patients across the globe. We can only do this if we hire world-class people, and that’s where you come in.
You’ll join what we call our early talent academy, a training programme devised by our own learning and development team alongside recruitment industry experts. The academy is designed to help bring you up to speed with the world of life sciences, provide the knowledge it takes to source, qualify and lead candidates through the recruitment process, and identify and approach the industry-shaping organisations for which finding top talent is so essential.
Our next academy begins on October 25th. Upon completion you’ll have responsibility for the entire candidate and client lifecycle, and you’ll enter a structured and pacey progression path with clear milestones for promotion.
How you’ll spend your time:
Managing the job vacancies we receive from clients and providing updates on the progression of recruitment projects.
Performing outreach to existing and potential clients and promoting the services we offer at SEC.
Identifying, engaging, and placing candidates from a variety of different channels, using your negotiation skills to sell and close candidates on our open job vacancies.
Actively assessing your own performance and adjusting your workload to meet activity and revenue targets (KPIs).
You should apply if:
You’re looking for an entry-level position in a sales role that provides the autonomy to structure your own days.
You’re self-motivated, goal-orientated, and keen to be in the driving seat of your own success.
Reading between the lines is something you do naturally. You’re able to understand a situation from different perspectives, and know what buttons to press to ensure it swings in your favour.
You’re a great communicator and comfortable taking the lead of a conversation.
You’re able to pick up on the small details in behaviour, language, or character that might indicate a positive or negative outcome of a project.
Ambition, self-development, and career progression are high on the list of your priorities.
You’re highly organised and administratively sound, with a good grasp of general office systems.
We’re offering you:
A starting salary of £25,000.
At least 25 days of annual leave, which will increase with each years’ service and with seniority, plus UK bank holidays off.
Cash, event, and prize incentives linked to both individual and team targets.
Quarterly lunch clubs at top restaurants across the capital, as well as regular Deliveroo lunches in the office.
Holiday incentives throughout the year, which we’re picking up again post-pandemic – we’ve been to Cancun, Hong Kong and New York City in previous years.
An investment into your personal development that spans your entire career with us – this year alone we’ve invested more than £100,000 in L&D for our sales teams.
Involvement in our corporate responsibility schemes and charitable partnership events – we’re partnered with educational STEM charity In2ScienceUK.
A slick central London office that we’ve recently kitted-out with a beer fridge, hotdesking zones and cosy breakout areas – you’ll find us on Lower Thames Street, within walking distance of Monument, London Bridge and Cannon Street Stations.
