Clinical Operations Lead (Global) - Contract

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Operations Lead to join a dynamic and collaborative team, dedicated to transforming clinical trial delivery and improving patient experiences.

This contract role offers the chance to work on innovative studies that address diseases with significant societal impact.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 12 months (view to extend)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate: Flexible/Negotiable
  • Location: North London/Hertfordshire, 2 days per week on site (minimum)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational delivery of one or more clinical studies across all phases, ensuring adherence to quality standards, including ICH/GCP and applicable regulations.
  • Manage vendor selection, oversight, and closeout, as well as tracking study budgets and approving invoices.
  • Drive study timelines, budgets, and operational plans, including diversity and inclusion strategies, while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate communication by organising calls, newsletters, and tools to share study progress, risks, and operational plans.
  • Maintain oversight of country-level operations, collaborating with country teams and CROs (if outsourced) to ensure consistency and address issues.
  • Partner with global colleagues to address IRB, health authority, and ethics committee queries, and manage audits with a focus on best practices and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for country teams, monitoring performance, addressing concerns, and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with patient partners to incorporate patient perspectives into the study design and execution.
