Your role as Business Development Manager

In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding the company's footprint in the life sciences space. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, driving customer adoption, and supporting the growth of novel biotechnology solutions. Your focus will be on building strong external partnerships and aligning internal resources to meet company objectives.

  • Drive strategic business deals with early adopters and co-development partners
  • Explore and develop channel partnerships to expand market reach
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to meet commercial goals
  • Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers in the biotech and pharma sectors
  • Oversee sales budgets, forecasts, and team expansion initiatives
  • Track and adjust the sales cycle to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Support the GM with data analysis and presentations for senior leadership
  • Contribute insights on market trends to influence product and technology roadmaps
  • Represent the company at trade shows and promotional events

Experience and qualifications for the Business Development Manager role

The role requires someone with a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and industry expertise who can drive growth in a highly technical market.

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate or business development within life sciences
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field
  • A well-established network in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
  • Strong understanding of bioprocessing and the commercial drivers in this space
  • Proven track record of driving adoption and scaling disruptive technologies
